Nathan Leatherman, 41, is a horse trainer from Indiana whose passion for horses began at an early age. Without coming from a horse background, Nathan taught himself through hands-on experience and a commitment to continually learning from respected horsemen and trainers. Over the years, he has developed a particular passion for colt starting, working with troubled horses, and building strong foundations rooted in reining, cutting, and cow horse principles. Nathan believes a horse's success is determined by the quality of its foundation and emphasizes patience, communication, confidence, and partnership in his training program. Influenced by horsemen such as John Lyons, Clinton Anderson, Chris Cox, and Buck Brannaman, he is dedicated to helping horses reach their potential through understanding and trust. Nathan is excited to challenge himself through the Bluegrass Mustang Makeover and showcase the powerful connection that can be built between horse and trainer.
