Emilie, 24, has spent her entire life around horses and turned that passion into a career. After apprenticing under nationally recognized horse trainers in Idaho and Kansas, she gained experience starting colts, developing performance horses, and building a training philosophy centered on patience, consistency, and trust. Today, Emilie owns and operates Perkins Equestrian Connection in southeast Missouri, where she specializes in helping horses and their owners build confident, willing partnerships. She believes every horse is unique and tailors her training to the individual, emphasizing clear communication, consistency, and mutual trust. Emilie is honored to compete in the inaugural Bluegrass Mustang Makeover and looks forward to showcasing the incredible potential of the American Mustang. She is excited to share the journey from first contact to competition day while demonstrating what can be accomplished through patience, understanding, and a strong foundation.
