Trainer Biography
Dusti, , is the owner and trainer of Wildfire Horsemanship in Leslie, Michigan. Although she has been training horses from a young age, she discovered her passion for wild mustangs after competing in the Michigan TIP Challenge in 2023. Since then, Dusti has quickly made a name for herself in the mustang community. In 2024, she earned 3rd Overall and Horsemanship Champion at the Michigan Mustang Series Finals before going on to place 5th Overall at the Mustang Heritage Spectacular, where she was also named Rookie of the Year and Reserve Horsemanship Champion. Since 2023, Dusti has gentled and trained more than 40 American mustangs. She believes every horse deserves an individualized approach built on patience, understanding, and trust, helping each horse become a confident and willing partner. Dusti is excited to compete in the inaugural Bluegrass Mustang Makeover and looks forward to once again showcasing the incredible potential of America's wild horses.
