120-Day Training Story
Traveler may have gotten the short end of the stick in the Bluegrass Mustang Makeover, but he's making the most of his second chance! After his original trainer withdrew just weeks before the competition, Traveler was returned completely untouched, still wearing his original BLM tag. With very little time to prepare, his substitute trainer has been giving him a crash course in gentling, and Traveler has taken it like a champ! Described as incredibly intelligent, quick to learn, and not particularly spooky, Traveler has shown just how much potential he has when given the opportunity. Despite his late start, Traveler has already learned to lead, tie, lunge, send, and yield his hindquarters, and is currently learning to navigate obstacles. He's proving to be a quick study who makes impressive progress in a short amount of time! Traveler is still very green and will need a patient, horse-experienced home to continue building his foundation. However, his levelheaded nature, intelligence, and willingness to learn make him a promising candidate for someone looking for their first mustang project or a rewarding horse to bring along from the ground up. Traveler may have had a late start, but his story is just beginning!
