Trainer Biography
Cody, 28, is from a small farming community in Kentucky, where he owns a concrete company while training horses alongside his family. Raised in a traditional, hardworking environment, Cody believes that patience, consistency, and a strong work ethic are the foundation of both good horsemanship and success in life. Growing up, horses were far more than a hobby- they were a way of life. Cody spent his childhood watching his father compete in local rodeos and draft horse pulling competitions, gaining an appreciation for the partnership between horse and rider from an early age. Those experiences helped shape his understanding of timing, feel, and communication, qualities he believes are essential to developing a willing and dependable horse. Cody believes the foundation a horse receives early in its training has a lasting impact on its future, regardless of discipline. He was raised with the philosophy that a horse is not truly finished until a child can confidently and safely use it for the job it was trained to do. Today, that belief continues with his own family, as his two children are actively involved in helping work and care for the horses he trains. Family is at the heart of everything Cody does, and he is excited to begin this new journey through the Bluegrass Mustang Makeover. He looks forward to expanding his knowledge, showcasing the potential of the American Mustang, and sharing the experience with his family.
